Engine optimization

Our gearbox optimization provides higher drive wheel power, more torque on the drive wheels and better performance. The optimization also provides 10% faster shift times and in some cases changed shift points, etc.
Manual gearboxes cannot be optimized.

Engine optimization means increasing the engine's power and torque, but reduces fuel consumption and emissions of environmentally harmful substances.
All prices always include a test drive, boost pressure check, diagnostic check and function check. New software means changed parameters for fuel, filling level, injection timing, ignition, boost pressure, torque limiter, smoke limiter, torque and speed limiter.

You can choose to do step 1 or step 2 independently of each other. So you don't have to do step 1 before step 2.

All cars are test driven before and after and fault codes are checked with a free diagnostic check that normally costs 1500:-. Also the function of the air flow meter. On turbo cars we check the boost pressure. A higher or lower boost pressure means something is wrong and it should be fixed before optimizing the car. We look for common faults on each car model. As our customer, you receive all conceivable and necessary service for problem-free car ownership.

Car manufacturers also think about engine optimization, but from a production context. Most manufacturers use the same engine in different cars with different power outputs, it is more economical for them to make an engine where only the software controls the horsepower. The software in the cars is also designed to work in different countries with different conditions, low octane, high heat and at high altitude. This means that the software of the car must have more room for maneuver, which means that the power output is lower. For you as a consumer, it is excellent when your car can be engine optimized, if you paid for lower horsepower, you can now get more horsepower for a significantly lower cost than what the manufacturer is asking for.

Diesel box
A modern diesel engine has advanced control systems that work together to make everything work. A diesel box only manipulates the signals, the purpose of which is to increase the fuel pressure slightly, this is the only thing a diesel box does. It does this without informing the other control systems in the car.
A diesel box deceives the car's control system, as a result of which other values ​​become incorrect. For example, the trip computer shows incorrect fuel consumption, the anti-skid system (ESP) and the automatic transmission receive incorrect values ​​for torque, torque reduction when shifting for durability, cleaning (regeneration) of the particulate filter does not work as intended.
Exhaust gas temperature and calculation of service intervals and the diagnostic system are disrupted.
Diesel boxes that the Swedish STT Emtec emission & engine technology laboratory has tested have shown approximately 1/3 of the guaranteed power increase. Another disadvantage was exceeding the maximum exhaust gas temperature in the turbo and too high fuel pressure.

Trimchip
An updated software that replaces the car's original, is installed in the car's engine control system - ECU. The software has a predetermined power increase regardless of the engine or transmission's condition and wear, mileage and area of ​​use. A trimchip is never an optimal solution.

Specific components

The turbo has an efficiency of about 70%, 30% is heat gain, the heat is created by friction in the turbo. If the turbo pressure is to be increased, it must be remembered that constant speed of the turbo gives a higher boost pressure at low engine speeds, and lower at high ones. The intercooler is a heat exchanger. The intercooler has an efficiency of about 70%, meaning that 70% of the temperature increase caused by the turbo is removed. Increased power increases the temperature, the intercooler cannot cool to the same extent as at normal boost pressure, meaning that the efficiency of the intercooler decreases.

The injectors - injectors in diesels - add fuel. At 6,000 rpm, the injectors have 2/100 of a second to add the correct amount of fuel. You increase the capacity of the injectors by increasing the fuel pressure. 20% higher fuel pressure gives 10% more fuel.

No. An engine optimization works perfectly with the car's original configuration and is also developed for it. A sports exhaust system only gives higher power when the original system is too cramped and it is mainly at higher revs when more exhaust gases have to be released. Sports filters are only recommended for cars without Bosch's newer air flow meters - which are of poorer quality - and have the ability to start giving incorrect values ​​or stop working completely when a sports filter is installed. This is because most sports air filters release a small amount of oil that sticks to the sensor on the air flow meter and forms a coating that destroys its function.

Performance and fuel consumption

The software provides driveability and power that the engine performs without the manufacturer's compromises. In normal driving, fuel consumption is reduced, but horsepower and torque are increased. In a gasoline turbo engine, normally 30-75 hp and 20-40% higher torque. A diesel turbo engine normally 25-50 hp and 25% higher torque. On engines with turbo, a reduction in consumption of 10% is normal. On engines without turbo, about 10% more horsepower and 10% higher torque increase, normally about 5-10% lower consumption.

The software is designed to provide more power when overtaking, accelerating, etc. The car also becomes more frugal at partial loads (road driving). You can quite simply say this: Without fuel - no power. So your car will draw more when you use MORE power than you previously had and less when you drive normally. Normally, 10% reduced consumption for turbo cars and 5% for engines without turbo in traffic jams - city traffic.

You can set the ignition curves in a more favorable position for more power and lower consumption with a higher octane rating - higher ignition gives more power, torque and lower fuel consumption. Simply put, you can say that you maintain higher power for a longer period of time because the engine does not automatically adjust the ignition down through its knock sensor as a result of a lower octane quality. This also applies to original engines.

Common problems and solutions

Engine optimization

Diesel box
En modern dieselmotor har avancerade styrsystem som samarbetar för att allt ska fungera. En dieselbox manipulerar enbart signalerna, syftet med det är att höja bränsletrycket en aning, det här är det enda en dieselbox gör. Detta gör den utan att informera övriga styrsystem i bilen.
